busy, busy, busy...

The summer busy-ness has been in full swing for our little family.
This past week was a little rough on Isaiah, he spent a little to much time in his car seat going from here to there, and there to here. It doesn't help that we live so far away from everything.

We spent a day at the beach which was so much fun. Last year this time myself, my sister Heather and friend Laura were all pregnant. Along with my mom and friend Jerika we all headed out to the beach to really experience what it felt like to be "beached whales". We had such a relaxing time.... Boy, was this year a bit different. All of us piled into our vans and headed out to enjoy the summer sun with 5 adults, 4 kids, and 3 infants. We brought everything possible to ensure a fun filled day.
It actually turned out great after we all got past the sand being everywhere and in every crack! I actually felt relaxed and Isaiah had a blast! He loved the sand, and of course he loved the water! I even thought it was cold but he was laughing like crazy every time i would dip him in. I love just playing and laughing with him, he is so much fun and i just adore his little personality. He has such a goofy side to him... he definitely takes after his mommy there! Have i mentioned he is quite the show off too....takes after his daddy ;-p
He has such a cheesy smile, and if he is holding something in his hand while i take a picture he holds it up to show me. He has about a million little mannerisms, and i love every one of them!

We also spent a day in Rockford shopping and we found a few very cool items that we just couldn't pass up. There was one store that i absolutely fell in love with. It was called WAR (women at risk).
I will tell more about it later.... it really stirred up my heart and broke it in a way that hasn't happened for a while now.
It has been a week full of much needed girl time, and a lot of laughs. It feels so good when friends can appreciate our very silly sides, doesn't it?

Dan and i have been so busy with so many little activities, that we haven't had much time to spend together. I really miss him. I miss just spending the evening as a family. Last night felt like the first time in a couple weeks that we could just be us. We ate dinner, played with Isaiah, went for a walk, and attempted to play a new game that Dan just purchased recently. It was nice, but we were both a bit tired. Hopefully a date night is coming up soon.... hint hint, wink wink to that lovely husband of mine.

Enjoy the pics!
